Class Description
I offer 1:1 or semi-private 1:2 sessions for a variety of clients. Some people are brand new to yoga and want a place to start where they can learn the basics and not get overwhelmed by a room full of others. Others are wanting to work on specific postures and breathwork. Some may want to develop a home practice suitable for them. Others still, are more comfortable practicing yoga with more privacy. Whatever the reason, I am happy to be a personal guide. 1:1 Private Yoga and Yoga Therapy Sessions differ in a few distinct ways: Private yoga is not targeted towards helping to improve or resolve any issue in particular. Yoga therapy is specifically designed to support a person in targeting particular issue(s) like recovering from injury or postpartum recovery and/or addressing a physical (ie: arthritis) or biopsychosical (ie: Lyme disease, MS) diagnosis. The list of possible things yoga therapy may help with is exhaustive. Private yoga clients usually don't receive specific home practice (unless requested) whereas yoga therapy clients will receive a plan of action each week. Both private yoga & yoga therapy clients will receive a summary of their session.
